The Raleigh-Durham area, also known as “The Triangle”, has been consistently ranked over the past several decades as one of the most desirable places to live and work in the entire United States. Three major universities; NC State in Raleigh, Duke University in Durham and The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill create the “triangle” that are the original building blocks for the world renowned Research Triangle Park, the largest research park in the country.
The Raleigh-Durham Metro area is also comprised of many smaller suburban cities and towns surrounding this triangle. These include Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Zebulon and Garner just to name a few. All of these smaller towns are in close proximity to Raleigh, Durham and the RTP and each has their own history and unique style that makes them some of the fastest growing cities and best places to live in America.
